We only spent one night here on our way to Brookings. Had we known what a wonderful park Lone Mountain is, we definitely would have stayed more nights. Thank for having this gem of a park!

We just completed a four day vacation stay at LMRV and we had a wonderful time. The RV hosts were exceptionally nice, friendly and helpful. I mean helpful. Jim, I owe you buddy. Big time. Our dogs really loved the pond and a place to run. My wife and I especially enjoyed the spaciousness and cleanliness of the showers. The entire RV Park was well kept and maintained. We were near enough to visit the attractions we were interested in and not wear ourselves out doing so. Places to see, places to eat and most of all a place to park our RV and enjoy ourselves. If we are ever again in that area, we will visit again.

This is a great little Park. The spaces are very spacious, each has a small patch of grass and picnic table. The couple that manage the place take great care of it and are very nice. There are horseshoe pits and ladder golf to play. In the center is a covered area with tables and a BBQ. There is a nice place to walk your pet, which includes a small pond to dip your feet in. They also have teepees for rent complete with fouton. Will definitely stay here again if in the area. After checking three other parks, we are very happy we chose this one. We camped at Lone Mountain RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

WOW...such a magical place! Clean, friendly, comfortable, everything about our stay was fantastic. The camp hosts Jim and Kathy were great as was Glenn the owner. Staying in an authentic tipi under the stars was as good as it gets, there was an inviting swimming hole just yards away and the park itself was well maintained and clean. We will definitely be visiting again next year!

On our drive to LA we decided not stay in a motel but to try out something different, so we dediced to stay in a tipi. It is a very basic but fun way to sleep. Because of its location on a forest clearing (on the campgrounds, but aside from the RVs) it felt very private and it was like sleeping in the wilderness. We enjoyed it very much.

This is a lovely home with all you will need for your stay except your personal wants. It has 3 bedrooms with 1 double bed, 1 queen and a day bed and 2 full baths complete with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer and even a straightener in one of them. The kitchen has nice set of cookware, service for 8 dish ware & stainless. It has soap, cleaning products including soap & fabric softener for the washer & drier. It sits near the rear of the main park area and in fact has view do the little center park like area in the middle. We spent 3 nights in this cabin and it was wonderful. Is a quiet peaceful and quiet. The camp host and hostess are great, very friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to enjoy the "RV" life even if you are a "city" guy or gal. Was there with my son & daughter in law for my granddaughters wedding and was perfect for our needs.

We had a wonderful stay at the Buffalo Tipi! The host was very flexible about the check in time, we were running late and contacted him to let him know. The campground also offers firewood bundles for $5 if you need it. The camp host was very nice, gave us the information we needed for the WiFi and bathroom codes and even offered to deliver firewood to our site for us. The bathrooms were super clean. They also provide a water bucket at the site, which made me feel a lot better about building a campfire during fire season. My kids loved playing in the little creek area! Overall very wonderful experience and we will stay again!

This place was magical. We spent over 15 days on the road and this was one of our favorite spots. The host was beyond accomadating and willing to take to the time to show us around and how everything worked. He was very friendly and helpful. The tipi was amazing! It had a heater in it which kept us warm and cozy. It has 2 futons and a couch. There are beautiful decorations all over the inside. It is very private yet open. There was a fire pit all set up and for $5 the host will bring you enough firewood to burn all night. There are clean bathrooms to use and a place to use wi-fi if you so choose. It was absolutely an amazing time, definitely stay here.

Great experience! Even if somebody took the Buffalo Tipi before us, they made everything possible to arrange the Wolf one. It was cold inside, but bearable and we set a fire outside which helped us to warm.

Really fun place to stay and beautiful area! Glenn was super nice and even upgraded us to a larger tipi. All the facilities and restrooms were extremely clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay in the tipi!

The tipi was beautiful and extremely cozy. Glenn was wonderful to set up another makeshift bed (as we are a party of 5) and even found bedding to keep us warm for we were unable to bring our own. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night as we were passing by the area... highly recommend this place for family camping trips or as a relaxing retreat into the woods!

My girls and I loved staying in the teepee this summer. It was clean and bug free. My 15yo was pretty happy to be able to finish her episode of "Pretty Little Liars" before her battery died...and then I was happy there were no outlets to recharge! LOL

We really enjoyed our stay at the tipi. The campground was very nice and the bathrooms were really clean. Glen was very responsive to any questions we had, responding to messages very quickly. The only problem we had was that we had originally rented the large tipi, but when we arrived, found someone else was already in it. We messaged Glen and he refunded the difference. We had a great stay and would definitely come back.

This was a wonderful spot, I loved the TiPi, it was cozy and comfortable and much cooler than a tent during the day. I also liked that there were showers and flushing toilets, as well as potable water and a swimming spot nearby. It was hot and we were so lucky to have a place to cool off!

We were very happy with our whole experience from the time we booked until the time we checked out. The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiry and offer suggestions for the area. The campground was very clean and well kept. The tipis were away from the RVs in a more secluded area which was very nice. There was a lovely old fashioned swimming hole on the grounds that our boys loved. We recommend them.

We stayed four times this year, 2013, and will come back again. One of the stays was a family gathering with four RV's and two tent campers. Absolutely one of the best places for kids with the swimming hole and safe places to bike and play. The best camp hosts and a well maintained and designed facility. A great base to explore the area especially for those who are interested in the unusual botanical areas in the vicinity. Group areas are excellent and well planned, including firewood! We told friends about it and they equally enjoyed the facility.

Staying in the tipi was both fun, comfortable and easy. Finding the place is super easy, it's well posted and the RV park is in a nice location, near a convenience store, steakhouse and bar. Check-in was simple, and we were escorted to our very own tipi. You've got a lot of privacy, there's a section in the RV where the three tipis are found, with their own fireplace and picknick table. We bought firewood for the night and felt like we were all on our own in the woods, with a few distant fires from the other two tipis. The tipi itself is spacious and you've got two sofa's which fold out to a bed. That's pretty much it, but you really shouldn't be in the tipi for any other reason than sleeping or God forbid, when it rains. Bathroom facilities were very clean. We had a great stay here. Glenn came over to check if everything was okay and was friendly and professional.

This is our second stay here and we have enjoyed every minute. The rates are reasonable, the park is clean, the camp host is helpful, but most important is the wholesome atmosphere that prevails. We are from Alabama and have stayed in lots of rv parks across the country. This is one of my absolute favorites and I would highly recommend to western travelers.

We have traveled here from Florida, and this is our favorite park of the whole trip. It is clean, spacious, quiet and GORGEOUS! Love the teepees and the crystal clear natural swimming pond. Jim and Cathy are great hosts, and owner Glenn is fantastic. We chose this location to avoid the cramped and congested parks at the coast. What a pleasure it is to go see the coast and the redwoods, and then arrive back to "paradise" to spend the night. Love this place!

This place is a jewel. It's a little off the main drag so unless you researched ahead you might not find it and we are very glad we did research the area. Sites are gravel but level, roads are asphalt paved and smooth. Small park manicured to perfection, it is beautiful. Wifi was strong, electricity stable, and water pressure good. Owner stopped by to introduce himself and promote good will. We were here for 3 nights and will stay here again.

Our Escapee Chapters 47/37 just completed our first Rally at Lone Mountain RV Resort and as I expected, it couldn't have been better. Glenn, Jim and Cathy were at 'their peak' in supporting our needs. I had hoped more of our RV group would be present but, Their Loss for not showing, although we did miss their companionship. Glen and Lori, the owners, have added a Club House, this past Spring and it came in handy to keep us together and get us out of the Fall weather cold. The Club House is actually a beautiful modular home so it has three full bedrooms, two bath rooms, living room and a fully-equipped kitchen. So, if you want to come camping and additional family or friends do not have an RV or camping equipment, they can rent out the Club House to join you camping. (Pretty smart in my book!) We have watched the RV Resort being developed over the past four years and I couldn't wait until we could actually go group camping there. As expected, Jim & Cathy - Park Hosts, were excellent; they were sociable, helpful and provided great support for our group outing. My only issue was, we had to leave to get back to work. We would like to have extended our stay a few more days but we have already booked our next outing with them for 2013. The RV park is out in the country, just off Hwy 199, so the night star gazing is incredible. Wow, what a place and priced affordable.!

Highly recommend! We arrived Saturday morning, supposed to be there Friday night, but got a late start from home and we were getting tired. We arrived 10 hours later. The hosts welcomed us into their fold, helped us get setup and we carried on a wonderful conversation. They love dogs, the grounds are very clean and orderly. The onsite bathrooms/showers are super clean and it's quiet. You are also welcome to stay in the teepee's which Mollie and I walked to check out, there is a nice cabin a family could rent, group camping, and a swimming hole nearby. It was too dark to check that out, so perhaps next time. They have outdoor games, gazebo, Wi-Fi, cable, extra parking, BBQ's near the gazebo. This campground is very well thought out and convenient to all the amenities it offers. I could stay there for a week and not miss the world out there. Give 'em a call, make a reservation, stay for a couple of days... you'll be glad you did!

I highly recommend Lone Mountain RV Resort. We stayed for only one night in July 2012, en-route to Oregon Caves and beyond, and regretted that we hadn't stayed for several days to enjoy the resort and the local area. The grounds are groomed as well as any proud homeowner would do. The manager Jim and his wife are genial hosts who truly treat this resort as their home.

Found this wonderful RV Resort on line way back when I was first considering purchasing a travel trailer to make my semi-permanent home. Visited the site one afternoon and once I set eyes on it, I new it was going to be my first stopping place after picking up my trailer in Grants Pass. I've been here 1-1/2 months and absolutely love the area, the park, the managers, the owner (I've only met Glenn) and decided that this would be my home base; that place I'd always return to after a trip. You've got to come and experience it for yourself though the pictures on this site tell the truth.

THIS HAS TO BE IT! warm handshakes and smiles welcome you to Lone Mountain Rv Park, in Obrien,Oregon. A beautiful, small park tucked in behind the O'Brien Market is a wonderful surprise. The hosts are friendly and warm in welcoming thier guests and keep the park neat and orderly at all times.. You might even get to meet the owner and get a hug if you are real lucky. This little oasis has everything to offer its guests . My husband and i have been there twice and will continue to make it our little get away spot. They even have a wonderful little swimming hole fed by the Illinois River. The park has nice spaces upkept with green grass and even redwood trees planted everywhere. It is amazing when a park owner cares so much about his clients and his land and has someone to over see it like the present hosts, Jim and Cathy, who are very helpful and carring. We hated to leave today,BUT WE WILL BE BACK.

After reading the testimonials for this campground I knew this is where my boyfriend and I should go to stay while passing through on a road trip. I emailed the park and right when we pulled in, they knew exactly who I was. The camp host's were as nice as can be. They made us feel so welcome and the camp is super clean. We stayed in #5 right next to the water and got to watch deer come right in and drink in front of us. We know we will be going back to stay in their teepee's (they look so fun). Thanks again for being so warm and welcoming. I will be seeing you again :) --Vegas Val :)

My family and I stopped in just for the night on a road trip to get some shut eye and I wish we could have stayed longer. You won't find better hospitality anywhere and the park is exceptionally maintained and clean. And I gotta say the bathrooms are the cleanest I've seen while camping/rv'ing in my life. There's even an electric heater on the far side of the shower to keep you warm. They are military friendly and take care of their own. I will stay there again.

Carol and I just spent a wonderful week exploring Southeastern Oregon and the Northern California Redwoods. We home-based at Lone Mountain RV Park, and it made our week so much more enjoyable. Not just the great RV Park, with its pleasant surroundings, spotless amenities, but the pleasant people we met there. Jim and his wife made our stay even better, answering our questions, even recommending a local welder that repaired our bike rack! Denver, one of the staff, was kind enough to check our "check engine" light, which gave us peace of mind so we could travel over to Crescent City and the coast. We met other friendly RV'ers at the Park, and everyone was courteous and welcomed our little "Scamp." The park was quiet, clean, and the O'Brien Store was only a short walk away. We look forward to another visit soon. Thanks, Glenn, for a wonderful week!

My wife and I just love LMRV. The owner, Glenn, is incredibly nice and hospitable. This is probably the cleanest RV resort we've ever been to. Our pets love it too! It's far enough in the country to be secluded and quiet yet close enough to Cave Junction(8 mi.) which has all the amenities. We highly recommend LMRV, it's the only place we'll stay in southern Oregon. If you like gold prospecting, there's plenty of that around here too.

For the RV traveler/tourist, this RV park represents the best overnight camping rates and facilities in Southern Oregon. Although as yet we have not stayed at the RV park, We have watched this park progress from wilderness to a beautiful RV park over the past two years. We live approximately 35 miles NE of the RV park in Grants Pass, OR. Since we are recent RV owners, my wife and I have been visiting the various RV parks in the SW corner of Oregon. As the summer weather arrives, we do expect to stay at this very modern RV park. The owners have installed many high-tech enhancements for the park from pure water and sanitation systems to easy access from Hwy 199 and beautiful landscaping at each camping site. The park is near the Oregon coast and many other great attractions and adventures in SW Oregon. The park manager and owners are very customer friendly and are interested in giving the RV traveler great value.
